The Colleagues 35th Annual Luncheon & Oscar de la Renta Fashion Show

Katy Perry, LAPD Deputy Chief Emada Tingirides and (Ret.) Deputy Chief Phil Tingirides Honored at The Colleagues Annual Luncheon

On April 25, 2024, The Colleagues had the immense pleasure of honoring Katy Perry with the Champion of Children Award. Alongside her sister Angela Lerche, Perry co-founded The Firework Foundation in 2019, a visionary organization committed to empowering children from underserved communities by nurturing their creativity and unlocking their potential through the arts.

In addition, The Colleagues were honored to present the Philanthropic Service Award to our wonderful and esteemed friends from the LAPD, Deputy Chief Emada Tingirides and Deputy Chief (Ret.) Phil Tingirides, in recognition of their outstanding dedication and commitment to serving our community.

The Colleagues is currently a non-profit corporation of 58 active and 34 sustaining members. Since our founding in 1950, the Colleagues have contributed over $40 million to serve Los Angeles’ most vulnerable children—those harmed by community and family violence, abuse, and neglect. Our extraordinary support has been and continues to be critical to improving the lives of thousands of children and families each year.
